Mother's Sewing Group

Turning Skills into Stability in Six Months

Tithandizane means “Let’s help each other” in Chichewa—and that’s exactly what the Mothers Sewing Group is all about. Launched in 2021, the group aims to empower the caregivers of our vulnerable Passion Kids, most of whom are widows and grandmothers who often shoulder the burden of raising orphaned children on their own, with no source of income.

Over the course of a 6-month training program, these women not only learn sewing and business techniques, but they also engage in Bible study and prayer. This gives them the opportunity to know Christ and grow in their spiritual lives.

After completing the training, the women are equipped to own their own business as a cooperative—and start supporting their families by sewing things like school uniforms, school bags, and clothing.

Step into the Story of God's Provision

This initiative has so beautifully wrapped around the most vulnerable households by not only teaching a new skill + business training to start earning income right where they are—but also by making space for spiritual growth as they share the Word of God during every session.

After witnessing the incredible impact of this ministry, we are eager to expand it to our sister churches. Would you consider joining us in helping more women become economically self-reliant and spiritually supported?
